The Start of Waypoint Church
God brought together the churches of Gateway Christian Church and Faith Community Church to combine to become Waypoint Church.
When some leaders of both churches began meeting together weekly to pray and navigate the challenges of COVID-19, God started revealing that the churches could really could be better together. Within 18 months, God moved mountains, stirred hearts, and both congregations to overwhelming declare and affirm; we are better together as one church.
Behind the Name "Waypoint".
Waypoints are reference points that help us know where we are and where we’re going. And our dream is that together, we will each become waypoints guiding the way to Jesus by living and loving like Him.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We point the way to Jesus by loving others the way He loves us.
The name Waypoint is inspired by 3 powerful scriptures:
John 14:6, John 13:34-35 and 1 Corinthians 11:1.
